Lake Retreat
A lakeside sanctuary — designed for stillness and immersion in the landscape.
A retreat of 25 cabins on a Swiss lakeshore. Expansive glass façades frame the water; the boundary between inside and outside dissolves. The architectural language stays understated — the landscape stays in the lead.
Natural stone, wood and soft textiles set a tone of warmth and authenticity. The brief was hospitality without performance: a refuge for stillness and contemplation.
Scope
- Master plan for 25 lakeside cabins
- Cabin typology design
- Material concept — local stone, timber, soft textiles
- Indoor-outdoor transition strategy
- Hospitality programme integration
Approach
Stillness as the primary design value. Every move is checked against one question: does it deepen the connection to the lake, or does it interrupt it?
Where simplicity and sophistication meet — a retreat that earns its quiet.
